Steps on how to integrate with PayPal
PayPal creates better ways to manage and move money, and offers choice and flexibility when sending payments, paying or getting paid. Available in more than 200 markets around the world, it enables consumers and merchants to receive money in more than 100 currencies, withdraw funds in 56 currencies and hold balances in their PayPal accounts in 25 currencies.
📌 Important notes :
Make sure you have a registered account with PayPal. Don't have an account? Please register from here.
PayPal does not support these currencies - NGN, IDR, BND, KRW
What are the differences between PayPal Personal and PayPal Business?
Your customers need to have a PayPal account to proceed with the payment. Suitable for small to medium-sized business owners.
Your customers can make payments by credit card without having to have a PayPal account. This is recommended if you prefer the business to operate under the business name.

We have enhanced the PayPal integration and you are recommended to upgrade it to the new API version 2 in your PayPal settings.
What is included in API version 2?
API keys from PayPal (Client ID and Client Secret)
Two types of API version 2
In-line view (pop up) display
Redirect to PayPal payment page (similar to web version 1 but via a different and revamped URL)
Why do we enhance it?
PayPal web version 1 (which only relies on a seller registered email) is no longer available to new merchants via PayPal
API version 2 will provide merchants with the best experience and future feature upgrades
What you need to do:
Step 1 : Log in to your EasyStore account > Settings > Payments > Click Edit on PayPal and change the Version to API version 2 (Recommended)
Step 2 : Choose either "Display as in-line view (pop up)" or "Redirect buyer to PayPal payment page" at Option.
📌 Note :
Web-version 1 will continue to be supported for existing merchants
PayPal does not have plans to deprecate web version 1 as of yet
Existing merchants using web version 1 will not be affected by the addition of the new API version 2
Step 3 : Setup Client ID and Client Secret (can be obtained from your PayPal developer portal)
Step 4 : Save and you are done!
